Boston Logan International Airport is located just east of Boston, and is the main arrival point for any visitor wanting to explore New England or to visit the historic city of Boston itself. Logan International is the sixth busiest airport in the USA, and has 5 terminals for international and domestic travel. An enhancement programme to streamline operations at the airport is well underway, and will see the airport increase in size, as well as addressing a number of other issues to make travel through the airport simpler.
The airport is simple to get to from the city of Boston itself, and aside from car hire, other options include well-priced taxi services, buses, a modern railway, and hotel shuttle services. Organised tours have a dedicated massing point to ensure that all people travelling in a group are well catered for.
Boston Airport shopping is very good, and terminals B, C, and E all have duty free areas for passengers to make use of. There are a number of Wi-Fi hot spots throughout the airport, including several that are free for travellers to use.
